Forgetting What Lies Behind- Part 4

The Idolatry of Youth

It’s hard to forget what is behind and reach for what lies ahead when our culture constantly bows down to the idol of youthfulness. At what point did we stop honoring age and wisdom? How many young girls do you see dressing and acting like their mothers? How many mothers do you see dressing and acting like their teenage daughters? How many boys do you see hanging around the porch listening to the stories of old men? How many men do you see embarrassing themselves with adolescent pursuits? Grow old and learn to love every wrinkle and gray hair. God tells us that it is a sign of blessing not a curse.
