Living Below the Clouds

I am a man whose cup overflows with blessing. A few minutes reflection at any point in my day will confirm this truth. A thousand drops of grace fall into my life daily. And yet my eyes are prone to notice the clouds. My ears are often tuned to the thunder in the distance. Sometimes I just need to close my eyes to the circumstances around me and feel the drops on my face. I need to let them fill up my heart with thankfulness to the Father of all good things. It is no coincidence that the showers of blessing are accompanied by the clouds of difficulty. Clear skies make for cloudy hearts.
